About us

We have a vast expertise of fundamental and applied research in the areas of system identification, filtering and state estimation. The underlying common feature of the proposed methods and techniques is the ability of learning dynamic models of systems and signals from data, along with the uncertainty associated with them.

In the last decade, we have carried out an intense research activity on estimation and control techniques for aerospace applications. In particular, we have developed filtering and data fusion techniques for Earth orbiting and deep space missions, as well as nonlinear, optimal and robust control techniques for orbit station-keeping, formation flying and attitude stabilization. We have also a consolidated experience in the analysis, design and simulation of autonomous space missions and on emerging technologies in the aerospace field. Over the years, we have been involved in many research projects on the above topics, funded by the European Commission, by the Italian Ministry of Production Activities and by the Tuscany District.
